STEP 1: SEEING THE SIGNS?
TIME TO REQUEST AN EVALUATION.

Have you noticed cracks appearing around doors and walls, as well as some exterior changes? What you're seeing is a result of your property's foundation shifting. Perma-Pier offers a no charge evaluation that can be scheduled online or by phone. Once you have requested an evaluation, you will receive confirmation that: 1) your request was received; and 2) you will be contacted by a sales representative as soon as possible.


STEP 2: YOUR NO CHARGE EVALUATION IS SCHEDULED.

A rep will come to your property and meet with you (or your property manager) to document any foundation issues. A thorough evaluation will include the following:

  • Taking photographs to record any visible issues.
  • Calculating the lift needed to stabilize your foundation.
  • Sketching a map of recommended piers (if needed) to be converted to a CAD printout.
  • Bringing in a plumber if a leak is detected.
  • Investigating crawlspaces for moisture, mold and termite damage.

STEP 3: THE REPAIR PROPOSAL IS DRAFTED FOR YOUR REVIEW.

Post-evaluation, we will begin to draft a repair plan and walk you (or your property manager) through the proposed repair, the contract, repair schedule and next steps. Your engineer will be sent the scope of work for review and approval. Depending on where your property is located, your city may require an inspector to sign off on the proposed repair before issuing a permit. A repair schedule will be developed that takes into consideration the nature of your property and the activity level of your tenants.


STEP 4: OUR REPAIR CREW ARRIVES TO BEGIN THE REPAIR PROCESS.

Our crew — who consist of W-2 employees versus subcontractors or day laborers — begins the repair process according to the pre-approved contract and schedule. For multi-day repair jobs, your site will be left as functional as possible, with particular attention given to any high-traffic areas that may require temporary rerouting. Once the repair process is completed, the crew begins a thorough clean-up of the job site.


STEP 5: YOUR FOUNDATION HAS BEEN REPAIRED.

Congratulations! Your property foundation's affected area is now repaired and stable. With some repairs, additional plumbing issues are detected. If an issue was detected, a hydrostatic pressure test may be needed to confirm the plumbing system has withstood the repair. As a final step, Perma-Pier will follow up with a customer satisfaction survey. Please provide any feedback you may have. You should be satisfied not just with the foundation repair itself, but with the appearance of your property as well.
