Fort Worth Texas – July, 2014 – a Wish with Wings and Perma-Pier Foundation Repair of Texas will partner in late July to provide support for a Wish family in need.
11-year old Debora was diagnosed with Hypothalamic Pilocytic Astrocytoma, which is a slow-growing brain tumor. She contacted a Wish with Wings to grant her Magical Wish for a playhouse and swing set in her Mansfield backyard so she can do art activities and play with her brothers and sisters.
Debora has 4 siblings, and although both of her parents work very hard to take care of the family, resources are very limited. Debora’s mom called a Wish with Wings simply to ask if we had any contacts for foundation repair because their home is starting to “fall.” A Wish with Wings reached out to area contacts and supporters on behalf of the family.
We are excited to share the good news that, the team at Perma-Pier Foundation Repair of Texas (www.permapier.com) is planning to repair the Espinoza family’s foundation at no cost to them. They are very excited for this opportunity to give back to the community by helping out this special family.
A Wish with Wings grants Magical Wishes to little Texans with life-threatening conditions. Since first opening our doors in 1982, we have served over 1,300 Texas children, granting a Magical Wish of a lifetime to children facing an uncertain future. Working closely with children’s hospitals, physicians, nurses and child life specialists, a Wish with Wings strives to bring a ray of hope, happiness, joy and laughter to children whose lives have been turned upside down by life-threatening conditions which are beyond their control.
Judy Youngs, Executive Director of a Wish with Wings, expressed the appreciation of the entire organization. “After 32 years of granting wishes for children in need, we are constantly amazed and delighted by the level of support we receive from community organizations who recognize a need and work to fulfill it.
